What is an EMT?
An EMT can provide out-of-hospital emergency medical care and transportation for critical and emergent patients who access the emergency 911 system. EMTs have basic knowledge and skills necessary to stabilize and safety care for patients ranging from non-emergency and routine traumatic injuries and medical illnesses to life threatening emergencies.
What is a Paramedic?
A Paramedic is trained to provide out-of-hospital emergency medical care and transportation, much like an EMT. A Paramedic, however, is an individual that possesses the complex knowledge and skills to provide advanced level treatments to patients requiring critical, essential intervention to preserve life to patients who receive traumatic injuries or have medical illnesses.
How does that help you? With S1-Safety 1st’s top-flight On-Site First Aid Team, we work within your existing safety team to provide care to your injured or ill co-workers, assist with reporting and documentation, and help get them back to work and feeling better faster!
